Feeling ripped off. I got a new garage door installed by Precision Garage Door on 11/25/2020. The new door install was great and I was very satisfied. Yesterday on 10/20/2023, my garage door would not close. A technician came out and said that I needed a ton of new parts. The garage door was fixed in about an hour which was great but the repair costed more than the brand new door!! Brand new door and all parts were $1808 on 11/25/20 and the repair on 10/20/23 came to $1872. Spoke to two buddies who do this work in different states and said that I totally got ripped off and that is how I feel.

Answered the phone, made an appointment, showed up as scheduled. Seemed a bit expensive, but... when the door is broken more than anything else you need them to show up and fix it. I got a full estimate with various choices prior to any work being done. Paul did a great job. Got it done in one appointment (redid all mechanicals and replaced opener). Programmed all remotes and waited until I had the car remotes programmed before leaving. Walked me through the operation of new opener. Cleaned up and removed all old parts. Highly recommend.

Precision Door Services returned our emergency call within 10 min. The door would not close due to malfunctioning cables. Their technician, Jose Brizvela, was at our San Mateo home within 45 min. from our phone call. Jose replaced the drums and cables within 30 min and the door was able to close. Jose also provided us with information on how to maintain our door which we appreciated. All work done at a fair and reasonable price. Garage door failures are not easy; stressful on everyone and completely puts an end to any plans. From call to schedule, Precision was on it, and ready same day to fix the issue. Once senior tech Sheridan Abad showed up, the assessment and repair was complete in under two hours! Drums, cables, tension springs, improved new rollers, the works!
