The technician was good. I am not sure I can say the same about the representative over the phone. I asked what was the price range and she told me around 500 bucks and I ended up spending $1,500. Not going to complain about that so much but maybe you're Representatives should not give out prices over the phone even price ranges. Again it wasn't a terrible experience but three times the amount I was quoted not good!. I know she was trying to be helpful but don't give me a price and triple it.

We received service the same day that We called. We had our door repair a few years back and wanted to have it checked as we have experienced several PG&E outages recently. The technician was thorough and explained all that was good and what he felt we might want to change or repair. He reprogrammed our box outside, and we purchased portable openers. Work was done very quickly and the door works fine. Your person arrived earlier than the time frame I was given and I was just getting out of the shower. His accent was also challenging, but we ultimately managed to communicate well (He seemed to want me to get a new motor in addition to the other fixes even though the only thing wrong with it was that it was noisy.) I would recommend your company but also tell people to get another quote, like they should do anyway (but I didn't). I was surprised by the cost of $2K for parts. It took him less than an hour to fix it which was great but wow, are those parts expensive.

I want to preface my review by saying Precision's dispatch and service technician were helpful, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciated the texts and ability to talk to a live person when something wasn't right. The reason for needing service was my garage door spring broke. After making an appointment with Precision, I had two men show up saying they were from Precision but I uncovered later that they actually were not. Somehow, these people intercepted my information and came to my home. When questioned they said they contracted through Precision but couldn't honor Precision's "labor is included in the cost of the parts" and kept telling me they'd call the main office. I did send them away after speaking to the dispatcher at Precision, but it was uncomfortable. I was eventually sent a text that Precision's tech was on his way with a picture of the technician, so that was helpful. For future, maybe their dispatchers could tell customers that Precision employees come in Precision trucks wity Precision uniform ahead of getting the texts. That would have helped my situation. When Paulino arrived he was knowledgeable and friendly. He very quickly told me I basically needed to replace every component related to my door, except the door and the opener. Pulley, cable, bearings, springs, rollers, etc. Now, mind you, I've never had my garage door maintained. I didn't know that was a thing. We use the garage as the main entrance and exit from the house. I'm not an expert on garage doors. I'm trusting vendors to be honest and to be helpful because they have the expertise. I would have appreciated him walking me through why he was recommending the replacement of all of the components so I was educated and had a clearer understanding. The job was $2200+. Yes, I got the top of the line parts. Yes, I got same day service. He did charge me for an extra part (an additional $50) that wasn't part of the price he originally quoted me. It would have been nice had he absorbed the cost of the extra part. Once done, he assured me my door and components will last another 10-15 years. They better!!! Again, the work was solid (although the door does squeak) and Paulino was very competent, friendly and helpful. No qualms with the quality of work. Clearer communication would have made me feel better about dropping that kind of money on a repair I originally thought would be a third the price. Follow-up: Rodney from their main office contacted me about the two people who showed up at my house, saying they were with Precision, but were not. He assured me they are looking into what happened. I appreciated that follow-up as that experience was disconcerting to say the least. He then followed up after reading this review to be sure he understood my concerns and helped educate me. He also changed my warranty to a lifetime warranty on all parts I purchased vs a 3 year warranty. Thanks Rodney!

Technician arrive on time and was professional. He examined the garage doors and explained the issues. He provided me with a quote. It was higher than my expectations but I authorized the repair. He completed the tasks and noticed there were additional parts problems and gave me with additional quote which I also approved. Repairs completed in a few hours. Invoice paid. Part warranty is for one year.

I called Precision Garage Door and they came out within a few hours. They sent a gentleman named Bachir Gharbi who was prompt, respectful and very knowlegable. He inspected and lubricated the door. He advised me on some issues that may have to be addressed in the future. When that time comes, I will definitely call Bachir. The reason for only 4 stars is that my garage door opener is an older model and he was unable to make any adjustments.

Receptionist was professional and friendly. Scheduling was easy. Appointment availability was great. Installer was professional and friendly. Work was quick and of good quality. Only gripe was the cost. Springs were 2-5 times more than cost of similar part at Home Depot. Even if part was great quality it still was listed to absorb cost of install. I would have preferred to be charged for parts at a reasonable price and seen an itemized cost of labor hours times hourly rate.

Update: Received a call from the manager and not only apologized but refunded us. We ended up having the panel replaced by another company. Appreciate them going out of their wait to clarify and make things right. Called and they sent a guy out the next day which was great. Problem is we paid $350 vs $120 that another company would have charged. The temporary fix was not appropriate based on the issue just so they could try and sell us a new garage door, motor and track system. We were quoted over $3500 for a cheaper door, motor and track system. The appropriate fix was to replace the top panel not temporarily fix it knowing it won't last. We were told our current motor was not in compliance with CA code in hopes that we would buy a new one but what they didn't inform us was that it's ok to still have it because it was installed prior to when the code was put into place. This company is out to over charge you and sell.
